North Western Repeater Group

The North Western Repeater Group was formed in 1976 to provide reliable mobile communication between Amateur Radio operators in it's coverage area detailed below. It currently operates two repeaters GB3RF and GB3PF.

The group meets at The Globe Bowling Club, Willows Lane, Accrington, Lancashire on the Third Thursday of each month starting at 8-00pm.

Membership of the group currently costs £10-00 per year, renewable 31st December, and is available from the Treasurer. 

 


GB3RF

GB3RF was located on Hameldon Hill near Burnley in Lancashire for many years until site fee increases forced a change of site to it's new location in Accrington, Lancashire. OS Grid Ref: SD 755272. It still operates on channel R7.

EchoLink was recently installed on GB3RF (Node Number - 333195). The current status can be checked here.

GB3PF

GB3PF is located near the Spice Lounge (used to be the Shepherds Rest Inn), 3Km N.E. of Blackburn. OS Grid Ref: SD 707312. 250m ASL. It operates on channel RB0. Output 433.000MHz. Input 434.600MHz. Power approx 5 watts.
